Effective December 1, 2008

The PotDAQ co-op advertising program is offered to all California medical marijuana dispensaries, co-ops and collectives who legally operate under Proposition 215 and California State Bill 420.

PotDAQ will provide co-op funds at the rate of
15% of the net cost of the ad placement.

To be eligible to receive the co-op advertising reimbursement for each print advertisement you place, we ask that the following terms be agreed to:

  1. Each advertisement must include an appropriately sized PotDAQ logo for the size of the ad. These logos can be downloaded at the bottom of this page in various formats.
  2. Your ad must run in the state of California.
  3. Submit your ad and ad dollar request to PotDAQ via mail or email before the ad is published to ensure that we can reserve your co-op reimbursement funds. We do not want or ask for creative approval; we only wish to confirm the proper logo is being used and that the publications advertised in are in California.
  4. The PotDAQ co-op advertising program reimburses for print publications only, and does not include direct mail, television, online or outdoor advertising.
  5. Co-op advertising will be reimbursed for the cost of placement only and does not cover creative or production costs.
  6. We ask that you update your PotDAQ page. This includes menu items, though pricing is not mandatory. If you do not wish to post any menu information, please contact us for possible alternatives.
  7. Once the ad has been published, mail or email us a tear sheet and copy of the invoice and we will mail a check for your co-op dollars. Please allow 10 business days for reimbursement.

While we’d like to help support all of your advertising efforts, this is a limited time offer based on demand.

Please submit your advertisement and dollar request to co-opadvertising@potdaq.com or mail it to: 6964 Shoup Avenue, West Hills, CA 91307.

Co-op FAQs:

How do I sign up?

Easy. If you have not already done so, become a member of PotDAQ. Once you are a member, request administration rights of your PotDAQ page (you will usually be approved in less than 24 hours; we do this step to ensure that you are actually an owner/authorized employee of your dispensary/collective). After you are granted administration privileges, make sure that your page is up to date and that your menu is posted. After that, simply send us your ad(s) and the publication(s), and we’ll set aside money to reimburse you.

How will I be reimbursed?

Checks will be payable in US dollars to the dispensary/collective named in the advertisement and will be dispersed within 10 business days of receiving a tear sheet and invoice copy (via mail or email).

Are production costs reimburseable?

No. PotDAQ WILL NOT reimburse a dispensary/collective for any costs of production. This includes resizing of ads, installation, artwork, typesetting, photography, mechanicals, postage, mailing labels, mailing lists or any other costs incurred in the development of the advertisement, regardless of the media used.

Are there size limitations of the ads that I can be reimbursed for?

Not really. We offer PotDAQ co-op logo sizes to cover Full Page, Half Page and Quarter Page ads. Ads published smaller than Quarter Page size must use the Quarter Page PotDAQ logo size. Ads published larger than Full Page can simply use the Full Page PotDAQ logo size.

Does it matter if I run a color or black & white ad?

No. We offer PotDAQ co-op logos for both color and black & white advertisements, and will reimburse you at our co-op rate regardless of which you run.

Is prior approval required for all advertisements?

Yes. We ask that you send your final advertisement to us (via mail or email) along with the name of the publication in which it will appear. WE DO NOT ASK FOR OR WANT CREATIVE CONTROL. We will have absolutely no input towards the layout or content of your advertisement. We only wish to confirm that the ad complies with our guidelines and to set aside your co-op dollars.

Can I run in national publications?

Kind of. We require that the national publication advertised in have regional versions.

If you would like us to be involved in your online advertising effort, please contact us. We’d be happy to discuss the possibilities: dispensaryservices@potdaq.com.
